Hickory Haven Farms welcomes Trainer Doug Messamer from Arizona to our Farm.
Doug has 36 years of horse experience with hunter/jumpers, dressage, (including all "airs above the ground") western pleasure, reining, and cutting.
Doug specializes in the gentle start of foals from babies to green and beyond in any discipline requested.
•B.S. in Animal Science
•worked as emergency vet tech
•Trainer/Performer with Kingdom of the Dancing Stallions
•Trained for/ given lessons to several Hollywood figures
•Pony Club Instructor
•Judged 4-H Regional Finals in AZ
A Note from Doug:
My wife, 3 daughters and I have moved here from Arizona for my wife's new job as a nurse practitioner with Greenville Memorial Hospital.
We are looking forward to getting to know new people in this beautiful area.
